What is Wellbeing?
Each one of us has the potential for vitality (power and strength) which at the physical level we call the immune system. At the emotional level we call it joy, wellbeing, attractiveness, expressiveness, communicativity. In the intellectual level, it is concentration, good memory, intelligence & mental clarity. In life it is success, either personal or professional. This potential of power and strength and success is the wellspring of wellbeing for health and happiness. When this wellspring is lost, or blocked or reduced in strength, a person begins to have difficulties in everything in life. Problems in Business, health, personal relationships, physical health and psychological and emotional problems. This person begins to feel sad, depressed, shows loss of self-esteem, etc. The final result of the loss of this vital force is illness.
Why Can’t Simple Methods Help?
Many of the methods used to combat stress are like band-aids, they alleviate, but don’t deal with the cause. These methods will not help the person to eliminate stress in their life. They do not reach deeply into the origins, the deep causes, which could be psychological, emotional, etc. They usually only touch the surface. Without learning methods to keep the vital force in a high state, a person will not be able to completely eliminate the causes of stress or to resolve their personal problems and cause of conflict in their life.
